I had a chance a few years ago to participate in creating brand content for Suzi's Lavender, an awesome PNW body products company, and of course jumped at it; being a fairly stodgy, literal-minded sort of guy when it comes to drawing I'm happy as a clam just turning out straight analytical drawings dawn to dusk. Well, late morning to dusk.
Nature & Biotechnology
It's always a great time throwing images together for Nature & Biotech; their editors are straightforward about what they need, and I get the chance to be a bit whimsical. Not TOO whimsical, thank goodness.
Everyone loves a quick, stark brush image. I spent a few weeks running the occasional frame or icon for the social media campaigns Jose Cuervo were running a while back, and this guy was my favorite.
Yes, I can do these too! Related but slightly different are my shots for the National Law Enforcement Museum's "Take The Case" online game.
No, it's not often what I'm hired for, which of course means it's the sort of illustration I most enjoy. It plays well with my other passions (reading, strength coaching) and tickles both my analytical and observational fancies.
Keep an eye out for a few images from my once-glorious sex-fitness (fitness-sex?) blog; you'll know them when you see them.
Eventually I'll categorize these a bit more effectively; for now let's just say these constitute the miscellaneous category.
